“She’s always loved my closet,” said Kathy Hilton before the tip-off to her daughter’s Nicholai by Nicky Hilton show. “But I think Nicky is a little more conservative than Paris, a little more tailored.” Tailored, perhaps. But judging by the high-hemlined, sequin- and metallic-heavy collection, “conservative” probably isn’t the correct adjective. In any case, a handful of girls who need party dresses the most—Olivia Palermo, Arden Wohl, and Amanda Hearst—filled the front row, while Hilton’s childhood friend Bijou Phillips was the first to jump up and lead a standing ovation. “There are so many looks I like,” she said. “They’re all unbelievable.”
