From makeup artists to photographers to models to buyers, everyone in Paris who knows Jeremy Scott adores the man. To show their affection, the Colette team, who have stocked Scott’s frocks since his very first collection, decided to throw him a rocking-to-the-rafters after-party last night that’s already being described as the event everyone will remember from this fashion week. In homage to the always eccentric Scott, well over a thousand invitees (including Kanye West and Gareth Pugh) decked out in their outrageous best filled the Elysée Montmartre, a rock venue in the salacious Pigalle district. “Jeremy really energizes everyone backstage,” said Agyness Deyn. “He takes the time to talk to each one of us individually, and it gets everyone so excited for the show.” The big surprise of the night was a mini concert by Marc Almond of Soft Cell fame. The crowd went wild to the first synthesizer strains of Tainted Love. And swigging Champagne straight from the bottle and singing along at top volume in the crush at the front of the stage was the man of the hour, Jeremy Scott.
