En Attendant Isabel, Hairy Like The Wolf, And More…
The English are coming, the English are coming! Oh—no, wait, …
Out with the Venetian crystals, in with the concrete stairs. Or so went the design directive for Chloé’s freshly renovated Madison Avenue boutique. “The old store was much more girlie. This is more modern, contemporary, lighter, and brighter,” said the brand’s North American executive vice president, Karin Gregersen, at last night’s in-store fête. The party, which featured previews of the brand’s upcoming Spring line and three pieces of artwork slated for auction at the upcoming Guggenheim Museum Young Collectors Council Artist’s Ball (which will be underwritten by Chloé), drew a wall-to-wall crowd of revelers, including guest DJ Helena Christensen, Hana Soukupova, Marina Rust Connor, Alexis Bryan, and Jacqueline Sackler. Surveying the jam-packed soirée, Gregersen laughed and said, “The idea is that the product would stand out more, but of course that’s not the case tonight.”—Tatiana Boncompagni
